Year 4 were archaeologists this week.
We followed in the footsteps of Howard Carter and had a wonderful time digging for treasure!
We had to guess what the item could be as we uncovered it bit by bit.
We had to be so careful not to damage the item, so we used paintbrushes to gently brush the sand away from the artefacts.

Skeletons!
We have started our new Science topic looking at the function of skeletons. Last week we looked at human skeletons and had a go at naming some of the bones.
As part of our multi-faceted learning this week we will be looking at animal skeletons and comparing them to humans.
Leave a comment if you can work out what animal this skeleton is from....
How do you know?
How is it different or similar to a human skeleton?
We will also be looking at what 'vertebrate' and 'invertebrate' mean...Leave a comment if you have an idea already!
Money Problems
Today we were investigating a statement...
We were given 5 different amounts and then we had to prove whether the statement was true or false.
"All of these amounts of money can be made using 3 coins or less"
